Director of Finance
Reports to: CEO
Job Summary
The Director of Finance provides leadership and overall direction to the finance department
and to our customers. The Director of Finance is a member of the Senior Management Team,
and is responsible for all aspects of the day to day leadership and operational management
within the Finance Division. This position requires a driven, confident, energetic leader who has
the experience to mentor and grow high performing teams.
Job Duties
Establish Internal Controls, Processes and Procedures for all financial functions.
Establish and Manage Debt service protocols.
Budgetary forecasting and stress analysis.
Advanced Modeling and forecasting using a variety software platforms.
Cash flow modeling, Sensitivity analysis.
Joint venture structuring, Property valuations / Proformas.
Stress modeling, (DCF) discounted cash flow valuations.
Federal Tax compliance and Filings.
Coordinating corporate finance and managing company policies regarding capital
requirements, debt, taxation, equity and acquisitions as appropriate.
Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new
programs/strategies and regulatory action.
Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the
organization by way of systems that will improve the overall financial operation and
effectiveness of the corporation.
Manage all corporate and related entity human resource activities(financial) including
payroll, employee benefits, retirement plans, corporate insurance and related activities.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
7-10 years experience in finance management.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss reporting and balancing ledgers
for operating and balance sheet accounts.
Aptitude for performing numerical analysis of data and formulating conclusions and/or
solutions.
Ability to use logic to define a problem, collect information, establish facts, draw valid
conclusions, interpret information and deal with abstract variables for unique or
unfamiliar situations.
Proven leadership and coaching skills with a track record of developing a highly
motivated and cross trained group of progressive accounting professionals
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, use good
judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and follow-up and carry multiple
projects thorough to completion.
Ability to work in fast paced environment and maintain effective working relationships
with contacted agencies, co-workers and management team.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture and work internally and externally to
make decisions and deliver and exceptional product.
Decision Making: Ability to think quickly and intelligently in difficult circumstances.
Organized: Must be highly organized with a strong ability to prioritize re-prioritize and
meet critical deadlines.
