The City of Saint Paul is seeking a strong leader to provide strategic leadership and management of the City's Office of Financial Services.
The City of Saint Paul is Minnesota's capital city and the 2nd largest city in our state with a population of more than 300,000. Our City Government
The City of Saint Paul was incorporated in 1845. Our Charter provides for a strong-mayor form of government. The Mayor is the chief executive officer of the City and serves a four-year term. The seven members of our part-time City Council are elected by ward. Saint Paul's 2019 operating, capital and debt service budgets total just under $763 million.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a talented and unifying leader who brings innovative ideas and management to the agency and can translate big picture vision and goals into realistic plans. The ideal candidate will be a great manager and an effective partner to all stakeholders in the business, development and advocacy communities to successfully articulate the Mayor's vision for Saint Paul. The Director of Financial Services will be a champion for equity and will work closely with the department's leadership to enact significant change.
