Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Director of Project Management will be responsible for supervising a team of highly qualified project managers with responsibility for driving project results including but not limited to schedule, budget, deliverables, customer satisfaction, contractual requirement updates, resource coordination and on-time performance. This highly energetic Leader will need to work effectively with external customers as well as with all internal functional groups including Engineering, Operations, Quality, Contracts, Finance, Management, Executives, etc.
Additional duties may include:
Identify and address conflicts in schedule, budget, resources, technical achievements, personnel and a host of other potential issues.
Monitor and deconflict multiple, often conflicting, project schedules.
Work with individual project managers to keep schedules current.
Coordinate resource allocation between projects to ensure schedules stay on track
Work with operations to hire/outsource additional resources as needed.
Forecast future resource requirements, and work closely with Operations to address projected shortfalls before they adversely affect project performance.
Implement comprehensive use of Smartsheets as a tracking tool on each project
Escalate business critical issues to executives.
Lead coordination efforts between project management and business development, manufacturing, supply chain, facilities, quality and other functions to anticipate and address project issues.
Assist project managers with the scoping and accuracy of proposal estimates.
Help project managers with re-planning efforts when needed.
Overall responsibility for program internal/external results and communication
Product and non-product deliverable on-time and quality performance
Identification and management of project risks
Financial forecasting, performance, and messaging to leadership
Leadership of the project management office and overall organization
Develop tools to enhance project management activity and cost tracking.
Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory requirements
Due to Federal Government Contracts US Citizenship is required
Responsible for actively promoting an ethics-based business culture in the project management organization, ensuring that all associates are aware of, and fully comply with, ESAero?s ?Code of Ethics,? and related policies.
Demonstrated experience in Project and/or Program Management required
Expertise working with cross-functional teams
Prefer experience in aerospace and/or an advanced degree
Experience with financial forecasting
Expert ability to collect and analyze data and translate into recommendations and process changes.
Education or Equivalent:
- BA/BS degree in engineering, or a technical related field. Knowledge of quality, contracts, operations, program management, project management, product development, procurement and/or supplier management.
- A minimum of 5 years? experience in any combination of the following areas: program management, project management, engineering, quality, contracts, and operations.

Familiar with ISO9001/AS9100
Knowledge of ASTM workmanship standards
Ability to read engineering drawings
Authorized to work in the US
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with peers, customers suppliers, and leadership
- Proven ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Should be able to lift to 50 lbs.
Work will be conducted in a combination of office, manufacturing, engineering lab and test environments
Must be willing and able to travel (estimated at 25%)
