Job Description About the Role This individual will be responsible for executing the strategy to optimize performance across the sourcing department. This role will lead the standardization and transformation of sourcing in North America and Europe, by establishing a clear vendor path for growth and innovation, cost savings, new product introduction, custom product development, spend analysis, contract reviews, pricing, tooling, supplier management, and packaging What you will do - Ability to manage large, complex projects and break them down and execute into manageable pieces, develop functional processes, and deliver them in a successful and timely manner - Lead team in support of research, technology, and new product programs to ensure timely and effective supplier selection, early supplier engagement to influence design concepts and specifications for purchased components in order to optimize quality, innovation, cost, manufacturability, and supply chain all consistent with sourcing category strategies - Collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal cross functional stakeholders to position the Company as the market leader for current product offerings through current/improved sourcing strategies - Anticipate and identify emerging trends and requirements for all future product needs to assure a sustainable world-class supplier base - Continually optimize the source base for agility, customization, capacity, margin, and capability specific to the ever-evolving product needs of the Company - Execute a global market leading sourcing strategy including direct pricing, defined lead-times, vendor production capacity, vendor agreements, consolidation & SLAs, supplier quality performance, tooling, packaging, sourcing NPI (New Product Introduction) and Custom products to fulfill end-to-end global demand - Prepare, present, and influence senior leaders on current and future sourcing imperatives - Drive functional excellence in procurement including use of standard sourcing processes, category management, engagement low cost country suppliers, risk mitigation, and supplier relationship management - Review department staffing requirements and determine work assignments and functions within the department Who you are - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience - Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to effectively communicate well with all levels of the organization English - 10 years of relevant work experience in global supply chain & procurement, sourcing, Quality Control with North America and European vendors/suppliers.
