Aspen Medical’s Disaster Response Project Manager in partnership with the National Disaster Medical System, provides administrative and project management for key initiatives as outlined by relevant task orders from DHHS/ASPR. This work includes supporting the development and completion of initiatives set forth by the Aspen Medical Executive Committee and various project specific working groups. Responsibilities will include Project Management, Stakeholder Management, Resource Management, Benefits Realization, process and workflow definition, and data analysis and reporting.
The Project Manager reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer for all administrative and operational matters, and the Chief Medical Officer for all clinical initiatives. In addition, coordinating with supporting partners will be required, specifically the Human Resources partner.
Manages multiple aspects of projects within the NDMS program and assumes leadership responsibility for all aspects of multiple assigned projects simultaneously.
Coordinates a diverse group of stakeholders to set goals for specific committee activity and designs, implements and oversees processes to ensure key tasks are completed in an appropriate and timely manner.
Responsible for all recruiting and staffing matters for all positions on this contract.
Maintain the updated roster of ’on call’ personnel and manage the activation/recall plan
Quality control for all personnel credentials, qualifications medical licenses.
The Corporate Point of Contact for all operational aspects of the Project
Attends Executive Committee and sub-committee meetings; contributes ideas and monitors the planning process.
Creates and manages project plans and monitors adherence to timelines.
Anticipates potential delays to projects and takes appropriate mitigation steps.
Manages complex status reporting process for project plans and timelines.
Escalates identified delays and/or challenges with specific projects as necessary to leadership to ensure steps towards remediation are taken.
Monitors other activities within the project and identifies inconsistencies among plans and proposes corrective measures.
Identifies systems and operational problems that may hinder goals and activities and proposes solutions.
Can be expected to travel within CONUS approximately 3 days in every month.
May deploy with team(s) for up to 30 days domestically or internationally as required
Collects, analyzes and presents data as required. Ensures prudent fiscal management of department resources (e.g. equipment, supplies, etc.).
Proven working experience in project management, in a complex, multidisciplinary environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong leadership skills, interpersonal skills, consensus building skills
Working understanding of Program/Project Management processes and workflow
Familiarity with project management/task tracking software
Maturity and operational problem solving/decision making experience
Ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders
Familiarity with/experience in Emergency Preparedness preferred, especially in the hospital and/or healthcare setting
Experienced and working knowledge of the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) preferred. Completion of ICS/NIMS 100, 200, 700 and 800 courses, before or upon hire
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn new digital tools.
Bachelor’s Degree or Certified Paramedic or Nursing Credentials
Master’s Degree or Project Management Professional Certification
Required: 3-5 years of relevant experience
