Halifax Health is seeking a Distribution Services Technician for the Receiving/SPD Departments.
The Distribution Services Technician receives and delivers a wide variety of supplies and equipment. Restocks PAR level carts and cleans equipment. Maintains responsibility for all received goods until they reach their destination. Assists customers as needed.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
One year experience in shipping and receiving or distribution environment.
Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and have a good driving record.
Basic mathematical skills required, along with strong oral and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills, specifically related to sending/receiving email and data entry.
Ability to operate an electric pallet jack.
Excellent customer service skills required.
Unload delivery trucks and verify number of cartons received on Bill of Lading.
Inspect all cartons for visual damage before approving receipt.
Verify received items against packing list and complete input into computer.
Mark all cartons with P.O. number and department destination.
Deliver supplies and obtain authorized signature when applicable.
Maintain files of all packing lists and signed delivery documents.
Work with department, vendor and Purchasing to resolve invoice discrepancies related to Receiving issues.
Handle all merchandise returns. Work with department, vendor and Purchasing to complete necessary paperwork to ensure proper credit. Prepares all outgoing items for shipping.
Fill and deliver supply requisitions.
Monitors inventory levels and notifies supervisor when reorders are needed.
Inventory PAR level carts/rooms using handheld terminals.
Pick and delivery medical supplies to restock PAR level carts/rooms.
Process supply orders sent directly to the department.
Enter inventory transactions into MMIS system.
Place yellow patient charge stickers on medical supplies as needed.
Restock SPD shelves with incoming stock orders, making sure to rotate stock and remove expired supplies.
Work the front desk to process orders, complete inventory transactions in MMIS system, and assist customers.
Clean patient equipment according to established hospital procedures.
Maintain cleanliness of work area.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
