Draftsman Autocad Technician at Scanlon-Taylor Millwork

Job Summary

     We are an over 85 year old family owned commercial cabinetry and architectural millwork company.  We build for Hospitals, Banks, Schools, Churches, and more, as well as Historical Restoration.  The main role of the job is to create buildable shop drawings from architectural drawings.  We use AutoCAD and Cabinet Vision to draw as well as create material and cut lists.  In addition, you will also be communicating with contractors and architects to request information and/or solve problems.    

Responsibilities and Duties

• Create drawing submittals from Architectural design
• Correct any changes and update field dimensions
• Figure complete and accurate materials lists for purchasing
• Create cutting tickets, and/or programs to help the shop with production
• Working with the shop to get projects built as efficiently as possible
• Being able to handle multiple jobs and meet tight deadlines

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency with drawing in AutoCAD
• Cabinet Vision or Similar experience is a plus
• Experience around cabinetry and/or in construction industry
• Knowledgeable about computers and other office equipment
• Highly motivated, self driven, quick learner, and good work ethic
