Florida State College seeks an E-Learning Multimedia/Web Developer. The E-Learning Multimedia/Web Developer will serve as programmer, developer and web accessibility lead. This position will work closely with team members to implement the overall appearance and interaction of online courses, learning management systems, and related projects. They will maintain and improve the existing course content delivery framework. This position will provide advice, assistance, and support to the department, faculty, and staff, and facilitate the transfer of technology support functions. They will develop and maintain technology-driven multimedia solutions for existing and future web-based projects.
At a minimum the selected candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field supplemented by three (3) years of related work experience. Demonstrate expert-level experience with accessible front-end web development and some experience with back-end development. Experience with LMS. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple high-priority projects. Experience optimizing multimedia assets for fast load times and enhancing user experience across multiple devices, operating systems, and browsers. Effectively communicate with internal and external project stakeholders. Experience with audio/video production and graphic design. Additionally the preferred candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field supplemented by five (5) or more years of related work experience. Extensive front-end design and layout experience. Demonstrate understanding of accessibility web standards and best web practices. Experience with Canvas LMS. Intermediate experience with programming languages such as PHP and Python..
