We are currently seeking an Echocardiographer for a temporary assignment at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD.
Monday - Friday 7:30a - 4pm (8-hr shifts X5) or 7:30am - 6pm (10-hr shifts X4)
Demonstrates knowledge of techniques, procedures, use of equipment and Hospital and departmental policies necessary for job performance.Performs all 2D echos, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and stress echo tests.Maintains and insures proper use of equipment: including proper notification to repair service; proper upkeep of Echo machines and probes. Orders all supplies; ensures non-invasive equipment and supplies are available for TEE’s. Communicates with non-invasive and cardiac OR as needed.Delivers quality care and maintains appropriate related records and files.Enters charges into billing program for both inpatients and outpatients. Performs accurate documentation procedures; utilizes the computer and filing system.Responds to stats for in/outpatients in a timely manner.Maintains necessary documentation for certification of Echo Lab. Meets regularly with director of Echo Lab.
Bachelor degree required. Completion of an accredited sonography program in Echocardiography and at least one (1) year of experience is required performing echocardiograms in a hospital setting.
Registered in MD as a RCVT or RDCS; Echocardiograph cert required.
Valid CPR/BLS certification required upon hire and recertification required every two years.
