Under the direction of the Director of Ambulatory Medical Informatics - Strategic Planning and Development, the EHR/EPM Coordinator is responsible for implementing the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in physician practices. The EHR/EPM Coordinator will play a key role in training physicians and office staff on system functionality, building the clinical system functions, testing system upgrades, creating training manuals, creating clinical templates, creating clinical reports, improving clinical workflow, and providing post-implementation training. The EHR/EPM Coordinator will also help support the Billing Trainer on the Billing application.
Education: BS, BA degree or commensurate education. Two to three years experience within a healthcare environment, with a focus on clinical computer systems preferred.
Experience: Two (2) years experience within a healthcare related clinical environment and working knowledge of the process and delivery of patient care services in an acute care facility and office practice environment preferred. Understanding of the supporting activities in clinical services, ancillary departments, financial services, medical records, utilization review, quality assurance, the admitting/registration functions, and billing and collections preferred.
