Essential FunctionsParticipate in the Corporate EHS two (2) year Leadership Development Rotational Program (LDR) to develop for future positions in EHS at Parker plants/divisions. Work with division or location EHS/Operations/HR Team to impact Parker’s Win Strategy objectives of Profitable Growth, Financial Performance, Premier Customer Experience and Engaged Employees while continuously maintaining the highest degree of safety, customer service, throughput, quality, and cost. Demonstrate ability to understand and improve EHS processes and procedures, to develop and display leadership skills and to build broad business acumen while applying effective business decision making. Leadership training and development experiences throughout the two year program with the goal to develop skillsets in supervision, team leadership and management. SCOPE/SUPERVISION: Under direction of an experienced manager participate in 2 -4 rotational assignments of 6 - 12 months each, focused in Environmental Health and Safety. Technical and nontechnical training will be conducted at the plant, division, and group level. Learn and develop EHS systems and processes focusing on the areas of safety culture, leading safety a star point team and/or health and wellness team, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for learning and developing EHS programs, systems and processes by evaluating operations and current state systems and utilizing a cross functional teams to help establish improvement priorities. Interacts with more experienced individuals to manage and follow through on projects. This position will also assist other managers and engineers when applicable.
Qualifications- Senior standing and currently enrolled in an Engineering, Science or EHS Equivalent program. - GPA of 3.0 or higher. - Working knowledge of environmental and safety concepts and demonstrated application. - Relevant experience gained through internship or co-op opportunities. - Excellent verbal and written communication; project management experience preferred. - Strong analytical skills, demonstration of leadership capabilities and professional maturity. - Demonstrated confidence, excellent communication and writing skills. - Computer skills – Microsoft applications. - Must be willing and able to relocate. This is a two-year rotational training program.
