TITLE: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING MANAGER
AREA: KANSAS CITY
Our client, a single source, OEM engineering equipment provider for turnkey solutions to a wide variety of markets has commissioned Sterling St James, LLC to source, screen and qualify candidates for this important position of Electrical Engineering Manager.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
This individual will be responsible for the engineering team that currently consists of 4 Controls Engineers and 2 technicians. Duties include, but are not limited to, cradle to grave management of projects, assigning deadlines and work, allocating resources and working within budgets to get the jobs finished “on time” and “within budget”.
The ultimate test is to satisfy the end customer.
To be successful, this candidate needs the ability to pay attention to detail, reviewing schematics for accuracy and manufacturability before they are released to the customer. This individual will be required to assign work, develop work in progress schedules, check accuracy, create procedures and measurements and calculations to assure quality and that deadlines are met.
This individual must be able to work successfully with upper management, customers, project managers, purchasing and sales to assure the customer’s needs are met and that the proposed solutions will work well and can be delivered timely. This is a BIG JOB.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Equivalent Experience
- Will consider 3 years solid project management experience
- 3 years’ experience managing personnel
- 5 years in OEM or Industrial Consulting Engineering
- Must be energetic and enthusiastic
