Support Systems Associates Inc. is a privately owned, nationwide company that specializes in engineering, logistics, production, and management services to both Government and industry. Our corporate offices are located in Melbourne, FL. We have facilities in Huntsville, AL and Warner Robins, GA.
Our Huntsville facility is located in the JetPlex Industrial Park at the Huntsville International Airport and includes office and manufacturing space to support production and maintenance of mission systems and aircraft modification kits in addition to a variety of logistics inventory needs. This operation is currently executing multiple programs with structural and electrical fabrication, kitting, final assembly, aircraft modifications via field teams, and New Equipment Training and Technical Support (NETT).
Our Warner Robins facility is located in The Park off Russell Parkway and includes office and some light manufacturing space to support production and maintenance of systems similar to those in our Huntsville facility. This operation is currently executing multiple programs which provide engineering and logistics services for the modification of aircraft.
SSAI is certified to ISO 9100 and 9110. SSAI’s core capabilities include mechanical, electrical, and electronic design, test, avionics engineering, software engineering, aircraft modification design/installation, modification kit production, and related logistics services.
Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Applies learned technical knowledge to perform fabrication, assembly, soldering, repair, modification and installation of electrical components. Produces intricate manufactured products, such as aircraft parts and electrical/electronic components. Fabricates and installs parts for electronic subsystem installation in military systems such a fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Must be able to read and interpret engineering specifications from text, drawings, and schematics while accomplishing work IAW prescribed work order travelers. Uses a variety of tools and precision measuring instruments.
The individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.
Basic Requirements (Education, Experience, Special Skills):
HS diploma required, Technical or Military School Training desired.
Must have 1 year experience in harness fabrication, preferably in the aviation sector working within AS9100 and AS9110 Quality Systems.
Current IPC Specialist J-STD-001 Certification desired or obtained within 60 days.
