Work Week: VARIES
Executes work orders for repairs, and preventive maintenance electrical work as assigned.
Good knowledge of electronic repairs.
High School diploma or GED equivalent with at least three years of electrical training, and at least 5 years experience as a electrician, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a City of Houston Journeyman electrician's license.
On Call 24 hours a day seven days a week by pager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Installs, repairs and maintains various electrical equipment and systems.
2. Completes all assigned work orders and dispatch tickets.
3. Assists other department personnel in completion of assigned tasks.
4. Demonstrates the components of the ICARE values statement.
5. Follows all safety rules while on the job. Reports accidents promptly and corrects minor safety hazards.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent with at least three years of electrical training.
5 years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Must be able to acquire and maintain a current City of Houston Journeyman Electricians License.
Valid Texas Driver`s license.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT :
Includes office, patient care units, and invasive procedure areas.
Includes exposure to hazardous chemicals and possible blood borne pathogens.
Adherence to universal precautions is mandatory.
Able to flex hours and work shifts to meet needs related to unanticipated acuity, volume changes or problems.
