Linde is currently seeking a Electronics Logistics Team Lead to join the team in the Stewartsville, NJ area.
Purpose of the Position:
Supervise and Lead a multi-disciplined team that schedules and prepare export & import documentation for all international shipments for the Electronics and Specialty Gases Division. Responsible for the compliance with all regulations of Dangerous Goods and US government
Supervise all Electronics Logistics Team daily activities of exports and imports for the Centralized Logistics Team, in Stewartsville, NJ .
Support the Manager of Logistics to ensure the Logistics Team is performing all tasks correctly and following company policy and government regulations
Work directly with the Customer Service group to schedule and book export shipments to customers
Maximize Customer Satisfaction and Service Delivery
Schedule and Prioritize personnel and daily work flows and objectives
Notify Customer Service of any shipment problems or delays
Track and monitor shipments with each Team Member to ensure exports are on schedule
Solves any export or import related issues with deliveries and customer satisfaction
Responsible for the delivery of all export shipments
Responsible for clearance and delivery of all imports
Ensures that all Logistics Team members are trained against applicable regulatory requirements including: 49CFR, Multi-modal Dangerous Goods and IATA
Ensure that the Logistics Team secure bookings with freight forwarders in a timely manner and communicate status of all open shipments to Customer Service, overseas partners, and production plants
Ensure that all product classification, documentation, and related activities are in full compliance with DOT, IMDG, IATA, and any other applicable regulatory requirements
Work directly with production plants, vendors and overseas partners to manage imports of raw materials and reverse logistics for returned containers
Supervise the Domestic Cylinder Return Program
Supervise and develop a team of 4 export/import coordinators
Monitors and assures high standards of performance of Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers and domestic transportation providers
Provide support to all Electronics Shipping locations on tasks of loading & unloading and blocking & bracing of ocean containers
Assist Manager of Logistics to provide support and management with local SHEQ plan, including development of safety talks / safety meetings material
Ensure all Logistics Team Members are up to date on TRACCESS training
Manage third party contractor support for daily schedule of export shipments moving between Electronics plants
Manage special projects as needed to meet critical business objectives
Provide international and domestic freight quotes to support Sales and Customer Service
Bachelor Degree International Logistics experience and knowledge.
Minimum 4 Years Experience in the regulatory restrictions and transport practices for hazardous materials, including bulk containers
Minimum 4 Years- Complete knowledge and understanding of EAR and CBP Regualtion
Minimum 4 Years Strong communications skills to support effective operation in a global business matrix
Certified in Export & Import regulations and compliance
Working knowledge of all US Customs import and exports laws and regulations concerning EAR, BIS, ITAR NRC & State Dept.
Ongoing requirement to remain up to date with all changes in regulatory requirements
Complete understanding of domestic shipping of Hazardous Materials and LTL and TL Rate Tariffs
Prepare and obtain Booking Requests from Freight Forwarders for export orders
Communicate with Freight Forwarders on the drop and pick of ocean containers
Communicate with Port Drayage Providers for Delivery Service on the drop and pick of both export and import containers
Supervise all imports from raw materials coming in to the return of empty cylinders from customers
Insure that all shipping documentation is correct and meets regulatory requirements
Maintain a internal tracking report for both exports and imports shipments
File and Maintain all export and import files
Immediate notification to Customer Service of any shipment issues or delays
Multi-Modal HazMat certified (Air, Ground and Ocean) and ensure certification for entire team
Knowledge of the Electronics & Specialty Gases product line, customer base and supply chains as it impacts product classification/segregation and best transportation practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Strong Interpersonal skills
Able to work well with all levels of Management and Support Staff
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
