ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN (ERDC-20-0697-Z):
Bowhead seeks an Electronics Technician to act as a company engineering representative at base or remote locations including customer or supplier facilities. The Electronics Technician will be based out of our Vicksburg, MS location and will support the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineer Research & Development Center (ERDC) Information Technology Lab. The Electronics Technician advises customer and contractor personnel of company requirements for products and services, support equipment and electronic equipment installations and as such must have in-depth experience working with electronic equipment and reconnaissance kits; lay outs, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies electronic developmental and production equipment, parts, components, and systems according to engineering instructions.
Essential functions include:
• Assisting in directing the efforts of subcontractor and company personnel in the handling and installation and utilization of various systems and equipment.
• Assisting in conducting integrated equipment systems tests.
• Conducting integrated systems tests and verifying that equipment is fully functional and ready for shipment.
• Calibrating equipment as necessary and instructing personnel on the installation, handling and utilization of the equipment.
• May be required to visit remote sites to conduct equipment inspections.

Requirements
• A High School diploma is required at a minimum however, an Associate’s degree (or beyond) is preferred
• Must have at least two to five (2 to 5) years of in-depth electronics equipment and reconnaissance kit experience
• Demonstrable skills with layouts, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying electronic developmental and production equipment, parts, components, and systems according to engineering instructions
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
