7-8am to 5-6pm 8 hr shift M-F; Hours vary based on need
Emergency Management Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a constant state of readiness for emergency management situations that have the possibility of impacting the organization. This readiness includes sustaining knowledge of all Emergency Management Standards from both The Joint Commission and the Department of Homeland Security, updates to standards and tracking compliance within accreditation database. Coordinator chairs Emergency Management Committee and subcommittee, attends local LEPC meetings and serves as the hospital voting member on District 10 emergency planning activities. Develops and revises emergency management policies as needed.
Must have exceptional attention to detail; possess excellent organizational, communication & interpersonal skills. Ability to teach others, prompt follow-through and strong computer skills are also a must. B.S. Degree in a clinically related healthcare field with 3-5 years experience involving State/Federal emergency regulations is preferred.
