Provide and accomplish associated tasking necessary to support NSWCPD in the testing, review and certification of HM&E, including:
Provide expertise in weapons handling systems to support assessment of HM&E.
Provide software verification and validation in support of software testing of HM&E.
Provide expertise to support the reliability growth of HM&E.
Provide expertise with software and equipment test procedure development in support of HM&E
Provide expertise in weapons handling systems to assess any weapons handling and stowage system to support Navy programs.
Provide expertise with weapons handling systems, to assess, maintain, and modernize weapons handling equipment on board Navy ships.
Support Equipment Qualification Testing (EQT) evolutions including tests for shock, vibrations, and EMI and provide EQT test reports.
Support the NSWCPD program management of HM&Ecertification and ISEA transition.
Provide engineering support in the transition of and immediately thereafter the technology from certification to In-Service Engineering.
Support the development and review of ILS products for allHM&E for two week durations.
Provide engineering support for all HM&E configurations to manage technical interface with new acquisition systems across all platforms as required by the NSWCPD.
A minimum of 8 years related experience is required.
Target Education: High school diploma, a trade/industrial school graduation certificate, or a certificate of
completion from a technical or military school with a mechanical oriented course of study (e.g. Boiler
Technician (BT), Hull Technician (HT) and Mechanist Mate (ME), etc.).
Target Experience: Eight (8) years of experience involving HM&E Machinery and Systems including the repair
and maintenance of valves and associated equipment.
One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
