Permanent position: Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager located near Anderson, IN for a growing industrial manufacturer that services the industrial and transportation markets. This role is responsible for the management of facility environmental, health and safety programs required to ensure conformance with laws and regulations. Candidates must have a Bachelor degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental, Safety or related field and at least five (5) years of EHS Management experience in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities for the Environmental Health Safety Manager
•Responsible for the management of facility environmental, health and safety programs required to ensure conformance
•Develop and train plant employees and supervisors on program requirements
•Evaluation, coordination and implementation of programs to control air emissions, monitor industrial wastewater treatment and discharges, manage and minimize solid and hazardous waste
•Auditing of facility programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
•Supervision of programs and activities required under the Occupational Safety and Health Act
•Coordination of environmental improvement projects as required
•Manage activities required under the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Toxic Substances Control Act, the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act
Requirements for the Environmental Health Safety Manager
•Bachelor degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety or related field.
•Must have at least five (5) years of Environmental, Health and Safety management experience
•Experience with developing and deploying EHS programs at a manufacturing plant
•Professional certification preferred (CSP, CIH, CHMM, etc.)
•Comprehensive knowledge of EHS laws and regulations
