Oversee day-to-day activities for Henkel's Prescott’s Safety, Health and Environmental Management Systems to ensure conformance to ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards, Henkel Standards and compliance to governmental (local, state, federal) regulations.
Periodically apprise the site’s business management team on the status of the site’s SHE programs and recommend opportunities for improvement.
Responsible for the site’s Regulatory Approval process and will interact on a daily basis with various facility employees as it pertains to SHE issue.
Develop procedures and programs, maintain and update current systems and perform appropriate training as required to support the site’s continuous improvement initiatives.
Performs internal audits (i.e. JSAs, ISO, Procedure Audits, Ergonomic Assessments, etc.) to ensure compliance to SHE standards and regulations.
Provides a monthly report to SH&E and Site Manager regarding the site’s environmental, health, and safety compliance and recommends necessary improvements.
Leader of the site’s Safety Committees.
BA/BS degree in Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering or other related required
5+ years of experience in safety and health related functions, preferably in the chemical manufacturing industry.
2 or more years of Project Management Experience
Experience with air permitting and OSHA reports required. Must be able to track and submit all emissions and hazardous material reports to the state.
Experience with ISO 14001 preferred.
