Hoffman Heart and Vascular Institute at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is looking for an Invasive Cardiac Tech for our Electrophysiology team, working in the EP Lab. The Invasive Cardiac Tech responsible for assisting in invasive cardiology procedures, hemodynamic and patient monitoring, patient education, use of radiological imaging equipment, film development and set up of sterile fields. This position reports to the Nurse Manager of Invasive Cardiology.
The Cardiovascular Service Line at Saint Francis includes cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery and vascular surgery. We provide a full range of non-invasive cardiac testing, open heart and vascular surgery, TAVR, EP procedures in a dedicated EP Lab, and a busy Cath Lab and Hybrid OR.

Competent in the use of the unit's radiology, 3-D mapping and ablation equipment, interventional cardiology equipment, EP Lab recording system and storage of patient images in the medical record system.
Assists the physician throughout the procedure.
Assesses the procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness.
Safely operates electrophysiology support equipment including EP recording system, 3D mapping and EP stimulator and maintains medical devices. Cleans and calibrates equipment
Capable of wearing lead aprons for extended periods of time.
Demonstrated expertise related to Electrophysiology theory and technical skills.
Ability to demonstrate ethical and professional behaviors at all times.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
Ability to use initiative and independent judgment.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, healthcare professionals and external vendors
Advanced computer skills and technical skills required to operate EP specialty equipment, specifically 3D Mapping systems for complex ablations.
Education: Graduate of school of Cardiovascular Technology, school of Radiologic Technology, or two years education in an allied health science such as nursing, emergency medicine or respiratory therapy AND work experience of at least 2 years.
Experience: 1-2 years Cath Lab/EP Lab experience preferred; or equivalent critical care experience to be trained for positon.
Licensure: RCIS, RCES or CEPS or eligible to sit for RCIS or RCES or IBHRE exam within 18 months of hire. If RT, must be ARRT with current CT License
