Shift Requirements1st Shift About The Opportunity Position Summary Forecasts project costs. Gathers details and compiles data to estimate all production costs according to specifications. Considers raw materials, labor, equipment, tools, labor and transportation for estimations. Helps determine necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budgetary constraints. Essential to this Position
The Estimator / Labor Pricing Analyst will be responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of full estimates on routine small projects and on large and complex projects as required by client’s documents, providing complete conceptual and total bid price.
Ensures the labor estimating databases are accurate and up to date. Reviews all new project requests, RFQ’s and RFP’s and discusses the scope of the labor estimates and expectations with the appropriate team members . Monitors daily rate data/Job profitability reports for labor pricing inaccuracies and makes the appropriate changes as needed. Creates and develops labor cost/price model for the variety of displays provided by our customers. Review CAD drawings; evaluate requests for estimates and scope of work to bid. Communicates effectively with customers, supervisors, and staff to exchange or convey information and receive work direction for any changes that affect labor pricing Notifies Customers of any changes that affect the labor cost of the job. Monitors any additional billings needed for client specific purposes, or changes needed based off original job requirements. Creates both contractual and non-contractual labor estimates. Creates non-standard labor estimates such as reworks, SWO’s and OT’s that are required from our customers. Works with Project Manager to generate and streamline standard operating procedures as it relates to the Labor estimating department. Works with Operations and Production Managers to ensure efficient setup and line layout as it relates to the labor estimate. Uses system tools and data analysis to resolve any labor inaccuracies and takes the appropriate corrective action possible. Define pricing and packaging strategies for new and existing products to maximize revenue opportunities across different customers
Key Education, Technical Qualifications, Experience:
Associates degree or 2-3 years’ experience or combination, with education in areas of statistics, contracts, purchasing, quantitative methods, and/or Business management, Background of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain Experience in labor estimating preferred Education / Certifications Education Required High School Diploma or Equivalent Education Desired Associate’s Degree Skills & Experience Work Experience Required Some relevant experience required Additional Requirements Self-starter who can perform independently Strong customer service and analytical by nature Solid working knowledge of the capabilities of production machines in the facility Results driven, attention to detail and capable of maintaining accurate records Knowledge of Microsoft office: specifically Outlook, Excel and Visio Detail orientated and be an active listener Analytical and mathematical skills Proficient in the English language Flexibility and awareness of costing Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities. Willingness to take initiative and work independently without supervision.
