The Events Manager is responsible for two major areas; company travel and company events. From a travel perspective, the Events Manager works to manage costs down in current travel areas, including hotel, air and rental cars. The Events Manager will negotiate discounts, monitor usage and create audits to be sure that the travel expenses for the company are appropriate.
In the events area, the Events Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing all events, including sales and marketing events, as well as companywide events. The Events Manager will build budgets for events, negotiate with all suppliers, manage the logistics of the events and ensure the best outcome for all events.
To be successful, you’ll need to be highly organized, disciplined, and be able to communicate effectively across multiple teams throughout the company. You’ll need to be a quick learner, and ready to run at a fast pace, as this position touches almost every part of the marketing spectrum.
