Hope Network is seeking a dynamic Executive Director of Housing and Community Development. The primary responsibliies of this role include: (1) Visioning and developing the strategic plan for Housing and Community Development, taking into consideration input from her/his Advisory Board, other strategic industry leaders, and senior leadership at Hope Network; (2) Advocating for change within the political landscape of housing in order to identify and create a path to new and additional resources with which to grow housing, specifically supportive housing; (3) Facililtating an appreciation for the value of integrating housing and health care inside of Hope Network promoting the value housing can bring to all internal and external partners in order to improve the quality of lives and create opportuntiies to live as independently as possible; (4) Growing a statewide footprint for Housing and Community Development, while maintaining the essense of local involvement in order to compliment each neighborhood’s plan for growth.
Oversight of five major areas of housing development, growth, and operations.1. Direction of housing development.2. Oversight of analysis of housing investment opportunities. 3. Oversight of housing construction/preservation activities.4. Oversight of ongoing asset management and measurement of portfolio performance.5. Coordination of resident supportive services.
Requirements1. Master’s degree in Political Science or Management, Finance, Business, or other similar degree. Equivalent experience considered.2. Leadership, Growth, and Team Building experience.3. Visioning and advocacy experience.4. Ability to understand financial statements. 5. Excellent Excel skills. General systems savvy with quick system navigation skills. 6. Five-year work experience in financial management, business development, or property development.7. Experience in leadership roles of Housing programs and property development and management. Prefer experience with Affordable Housing and MSHDA / HUD programs.8. Well-developed interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to interact with employees of all levels; active support for the mission of the corporation to various audiences. 9. Experience with debt and other refinance methods.10. Entrepreneurial approach to operations.
