About the Job
Position open immediately for an Athletic Trainer/Exercise Physiologist/Strength Coach at an elite-level Outpatient Orthopedic and Sports Medicine clinic in Willowbrook, IL (near Naperville, Hinsdale, Burr Ridge, Oak Brook, LaGrange, etc). Must be an ATC, Exercise Physiologist, advanced-certified Personal Trainer, or hold similar professional certification. Preferred 1-3 years experience in physical therapy, strength and conditioning, or related field. The position is primarily in-clinic, but includes outreach to over 40 clubs local to the area.
Techs are responsible for aiding in the therapy session for patient, strength, flexibility, exercise prescription and monitoring, biomechanics correction and education. The position is responsible for schedule management in-clinic for both therapist and patient, physician/client communication and interaction. Must possess strong organizational skills and have great attention to detail as well as confidence/high-level interpersonal communication skills. Our patient population consists of orthopedic injuries, pre- and post-surgical, spine, preventative, as well as elite-level performing arts medicine (gymnastics, cheer, figure skating, dance, theater, and music), endurance sports (triathlon, swim, run, and bike) as well as heavy populations of soccer, tennis, football, softball and baseball. Additional opportunity available for Achieve More Recovery services and Achieve More class programming (Speed and Strength, Mobility, etc.). Achieve More Recovery includes staffing and performing whole body cryotherapy and Normatec services in-house. Employees are required to have availability throughout the week and occasional weekends to staff both whole body cryotherapy and recovery services. In-house training is provided for all services and equipment at Achieve.
In addition to working with physical therapy patients, this position covers personal and group training at Achieve. Achieve's client population includes the following: post-rehab, athletes, general fitness population, and class-based training for youth athletes. Coverage for this division of the company may account for 30%-50% of weekly hours. There is a large amount of flexibility for programming and class design with this position.
Achieve also performs a large amount of body composition assessments and consultation using an Inbody570. Experience running and assessing the printouts from the Inbody570 is recommended. Inbody570 analysis occurs on and off site, so the ability to move the unit (~50lbs) into and out of a vehicle is required. Weekend coverage for this service is occasionally required. Estimate of 100+ body composition assessments per year.
Flexible hours, alternating or steady times of day and night, and weekend coverage is expected on occasion. Benefits include paid vacation days, health insurance, continued education, and 401K.
