The machines needing to be operated create products to include: networking electronics, optical components, wires and cables, copper products and semiconductor materials.
We are seeking the best candidate who has experience as a machine operator (preferably from past extrusion positions) to apply today! This is a permanent opportunity and is a 3rd shift position (Mon-Fri) with overtime available.
-Responsible to meet production standards by performing quality checks, in accordance with ISO procedures and following Process and Manufacturing specification sheets
-Troubleshoot manufacturing process, meeting production schedules and customer deadlines
-Measure extruded items for conformance to specifications
-Must complete written production paperwork neatly and legible
-Communicate and work closely with fellow operators and supervisors to coordinate tasks, discuss production problems, and exchange information to produce quality products
-Observes safety procedures and uses equipment and materials properly
-Maintain cleanliness of work area and machines, including utilizing Jet Printers to print cables according to specifications
-Subscribes to and practices 5S principles, procedures, and guidelines
-Work a full time shift schedule with regular attendance and ability to work overtime as needed
Working hours: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Attention to detail is required in machine operation to minimizing scrap.
- Ability to work with a variety of cable and wire products
- Familiarity with frequent change-overs and handling of different compounds and wires in order to produce made to order and high quality products
- Must be able to read, follow and understand written and verbal instructions in English
- Log written data as required in legible format
- Good math skills and above average mechanical aptitude necessary.
- Hands-on experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices
-Ability to stand for long periods of time
-Frequent bending, stooping, moving within plant
-Repetitive pushing and pulling motion of wire cable materials
-Required to talk, hear and demonstrate manual hand and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination to handle machinery, materials, tools, and parts
-Must be able to lift, carry, relocate, move a minimum of 70 lbs. of objects, materials, and/or product
-High School Diploma or GED
-One-year manufacturing experience and skills with machinery equipment desired
-Cable and wire experience a plus
-Must have visual acuity and ability to distinguish colors and pass a colorblind test to identify coded cables, products, and material
