Sodexo is seeking a Facilities Engineering Operations Manager 1 for a growing hospital located in Grand Forks, North Dakota. This position will report to a Director of Facilities and will work along side another Operations Manager at the account. This is primarily a day shift opportunity, but the selected candidate will need to be flexible to work additional hours as needed including some weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:You will be responsible for Facilities Management regarding the proper installation, operation and maintenance of uninterrupted light, heat, power, water and monitoring systems for all buildings and services at the hospital. This position will also have oversight of groundskeeping for the campus and off-site locations.
This position will be responsible for managing a team of 20 hospital employees.

• plant operations and maintenance management experience in a hospital environment;• experience with the Joint Commission, Environment of Care (EOC), OSHA and Life Safety requirements;• strong technical knowledge of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, fire protection, safety systems, civil, low voltage, demolition, architectural and energy management;• excellent customer service and communication skills;• staff development and team building experience;• Certified Health Care Facilities Manager (CHFM) is a plus; and• a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields preferred.

Responsible for a single scope of work in hard services area. 3rd in command Supervises the account as the #2 manager and has full responsibility including supervision of other managers. Responsible for entire account when the Director of Facilities Ops is not present. In Univ. same as above as well as size and scope is less than an Ops 2;
Key Duties- Manage one other manager; typically in account with smaller volume and FTE count; Manage by walking around; Staffs, trains, and is responsible for employee development

- Manages work orders/CMMS
- Manages mechanicals (i.e. HVAC)

- Responsible for client relations/engagement

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
