Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and interpret architectural plans, and trade related facility and construction drawings.
Interpret basic sketches of plans, elevations, concepts, and transform into Auto CAD.
Basic understanding of building codes and ADA requirements and ability to work with co-workers and architects to ensure all projects follow appropriate requirements.
Understanding and ability to field measure buildings and facilities in order to produce accurate drawings.
Produce valuable and accurate drawings for purposes such as: Concept drawings for the client, basic drawings for construction, construction/fabrication drawings, and drawings for permits.
Utilize knowledge and resources to produce drawings that will be for Construction Purposes or Permits, including architectural, plumbing, electrical, & HVAC.
Electric drawings for permit: Power and data demolition proposed and plans, reflecting ceiling demolition and proposed plans, panel schedules, single-line diagrams.
Plumbing: Plumbing concept drawings, isometric drawings, demolition and proposed plumbing drawings for permit, plumbing schedules, fire protection drawings to be submitted to sprinkler engineer.
General Construction: Concept drawings, 3D concept drawings, demolition and proposed floor plans, elevations, schedules, code requirements, architectural details, and assistance with structural and civil drawings
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
