LB&B Associates Inc. is currently seeking a Facility Supervisor / Lead HVAC Mechanic to provide complete facilities maintenance support for the at the William J. Clinton Presidential Library. Position is contingent upon contract award.
Lead HVAC Mechanic must have master HVAC, refrigeration, and air conditioning knowledge and at least five (5) years of experience in basic facilities engineering work, including hands-on experience in controls, HVAC equipment operation, primary and secondary electrical distribution systems, refrigeration and chilled water/heating water systems, plumbing and electrical work, and must have appropriate Federal, State, or local licensed and certifications as necessary to perform services under this task order.
Three(3) years as a journeyman air-conditioning mechanic
Must have completed a recognized air-conditioning apprenticeship program; have working knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic test equipment, charging sets, and other mechanical equipment pertinent to the trace.
Must possess EPA/CFC certification/license.
The lead HVAC mechanic must understand green building programs/procedures per the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI).
Must be able to effectively sustain a maintenance program consisting of procedures that maximize results while protecting maintenance workers and facility occupants.
This position is a secondary supervisor and working Lead HVAC mechanic position, with time shared between supervising maintenance personnel, on an as needed basis and operating, inspecting, maintaining, repairing, testing, adjusting, installing and replacing building and site systems.
The Lead HVAC mechanicistheon-site representative with total responsibility for acceptable performance of work for all Contractor and subcontractor efforts should the PM become unavailable for any reason andwillhave the full authority to alleviate unbalanced workload situations and have the independent authority to take immediate actions to resolve situation
