Factory Systems Solution Technician

Fab 8 is seeking highly skilled and motivated technicians to become part of our state of the art 300mm factory in Malta, New York. Factory Systems Technician is responsible for the setup and configuration of the factory systems in order to meet production ramp goals. Technician positions are shift positions working a compressed week of 12-hour shifts.GLOBALFOUNDRIESis a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts.
Responsible for system configuration and support activities on the following systems: workflow systems, specification management system, recipe management system, experiment management system, manufacturing execution system, equipment management system, advanced process control system, statistical process control system, and the production planning system.
Interact with engineering and technical support teams responsible for configuration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the manufacturing system in support of the 24x7 manufacturing operation.
Configure factory systems items such as user accounts, factory manufacturing equipment, work areas, wafer banks, recipes, technologies, products, process definitions, steps, module definitions, main routes, engineering experiments, reticles, carriers, pods, and manufacturing codes.
Complete setup requirements and implementation plans that optimize the quality, performance, and customer-delivery metrics of Fab 8.
Follow leading-edge global factory systems configuration business processes and functions, building on the successful experience of the GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 1 and 7 setup organizations.
Support the use of common nomenclature, standardization, documentation, and change management, both internally with Fab 8 as well as globally with other GLOBALFOUNDRIES fabs.
Build relationships with internal partners including Operations, Factory Information Control Systems, Process Integration, and Supply Chain organizations.
Support Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) with Operations and Process Integration and with other Manufacturing Services organizations.
Support 24x7 factory systems setup. This may include 12 hour shifts and nights. On-call support may be required.
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
2 Year Technical/Associates Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing or a related discipline or equivalent military training / experience
Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
Experience with software programming or scripting languages
Experience working with database systems (Oracle, DB2, MS Access)
Experience in a 300 mm wafer fab.
Experience with the IBM SiView MES.
Strong computer skills including competency using Microsoft Excel and working with other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
