About the Job
Housed in the corporate office of Lone Rock Resources in Roseburg, the Family Office Accountant provides financial, accounting and tax services to family members and related entities. This positionassists with jointly owned properties, entities, and investments, while offering financial and administrative services to individual family members. Additionally, the Family Office Accountant will prepare and/or manage the filing of various tax returns, cover day-to-day accounting and overall record-keeping for multiple entities, serve documentation and transactional needs related to estate and financial planning, and provide administrative support to family committees.
Location:Roseburg, OR
Job Duties:Included, but not limited to:
- Coordinate complex tax filings and quarterly planning with outside CPA firm
- Preparation of less complex tax returns
- Manage filing of annual information returns, including Form 1099, personal property tax returns
- Full cycle bookkeeping and related record keeping for multiple family entities and individuals
- Prepare annual budget, projections and financial statements for family-owned entities
- Assist with estate planning & general financial planning including document review, transactional support and record keeping
- Assist outside investment advisors, attorneys and other third-party service providers with individual family transactions
- Administrative support for family recreational properties, family committees, and annual Family Council meeting
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Academic degree in Accounting and 5 years accounting experience
- QuickBooks experience preferred
- Proficient using computers, with specific knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Full cycle bookkeeping
- Tax preparation experience
- Confidential position – high level of discretion, professional integrity
- Organized, analytical and detail oriented
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize time-sensitive tasks
- Conscientious of timeliness and quality of work
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-motivated, able to work independently with little supervision on a day-to-day basis
