This is an exciting opportunity for Financial Analysts – Senior #MN177in Fridley, MN.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Identify strategic business investment opportunities.
Plan, review and prepare internal and external reports, schedules and statements using lookup functions.
Perform statistical reporting, including financial performance, variance explanations and cost analysis to determine variances and trends.
Measure effectiveness of business strategies and practices.
Monitor business indicators and assess the potential impact of change on business financial issues, such as damage repairs, insurance costs, or potential disruptions of daily activities.
Utilize experience in manufacturing environments to analyze, prepare forecasting models for marketing and staffing budgets, and evaluate financial plans and budget for the assigned business unit.
Utilize quantitative analysis to assess information affecting investment of resources.
Identify potential areas of opportunities and risk to senior management.
Utilize Six Sigma Improvement tools including DMAIC and DFSS to identify cause-effect relationships and reduce variation.
Design and develop strategic financial analysis projects as necessary.
Work directly with cost accounting and manufacturing accounting to understand design variances, new product costs, cost structure changes, variable costs, manufacturing overhead, conversion costs, and absorption.
Develop annual budgets, expense and staffing forecasts, and statistical reporting.
Develop financial models to evaluate the profitability of new customer acquisitions, pricing agreements and use discounted case flow techniques Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) to model financial impact of new business ventures in new markets.
Responsible for leading the Annual Operations Plan (AOP) for the business units ensuring accurate forecasting of product volumes, revenues, expenses and staffing requirements.
Utilize Oracle ERP R12, Oracle Business Intelligence, Business Management System (BMS) to develop and review new accounting flows, Sales and Margin analysis, sub-ledger to General Ledger account reconciliations and Accounts payable error correction research.
Skills and Experience Required:
Variance and cost analysis to determine variances and trends
Prepare forecasting models for marketing and staffing budgets

Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) to model financial impact

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
The position requires aMaster’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related fieldand2 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Accountant or related position.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Accountant or related position.

Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
