Job Knowledge and Responsibilities (Essential Duties)
Maintain inventory shrinkage and product loss to acceptable levels.
Oversee that the store maintains a high store inspection grade on the store Image Evaluation.
Adhere to all city, county, and state tobacco and liquor regulations.
Ensure Store Manager is advised of all cash sales and/or operation discrepancies.
Assist the Manager in preparing and delivering all bank deposits for the store on a daily basis, without delay.
Accurately post sales, invoices, markups and markdowns, store use of merchandise, voids, and bad merchandise write-offs, within established guidelines.
Ensures that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer-friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every customer and by maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer services.
Implements and maintains customer service standards.
Ensure that all employees are fully trained on proper safety and security procedures as stated in the policy manual; notify Store Manager of any violations of proper procedures.
Assist the Store Manager and Full Time Assistant Managers with the day to day operation of the store and supervision of the store associates.
Work in a team like fashion with other associates to accomplish goals and tasks

Adhere to all company policies and procedures and ensure the store associates do the same.
Schedule all shift operating hours, assign associates accordingly, and assure shifts are covered in the absence of the Manager.
Prepare shift reports on a daily basis and enters proper information into the computer for transmission on a daily basis.
Ensure that store has proper product mix to achieve sales growth.
Keep updated with company price book, operations manual, bulletins, memos and other pertinent information provided by the Store Manager or the company.
Look for ways to improve store appearance and profitability.
Create a positive store culture by treating employees fair and with respect.
Give all customers prompt and courteous service and ensure store associates do the same.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the retail, restaurant, grocery or other service industry.
Ability to create and maintain a customer focused culture
Valid Drivers License

Must be able to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
Must be able to climb ladders.
Be able to enter a 33-degree cooler and work there for up to 30 minutes at a time
Must be able to work alone.
Physical Abilities
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
