Abacus Staffing is cureently seeking Forklift Operators to move packages and material around our facilities. You will be operating a Forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job could involve driving around warehouses, storage spaces and other facilities. You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.
Must have the flexibility to train for 2 weeks on 1st Shift
Training Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00 am-2:30 pm for 2 weeks then transfer to 2nd shift
Shift: Monday-Friday 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
- Must have at least 6 months of experience with operating Stand Up Forklifts
- Must have at least 6 months of experirence operationg Electric Pallet Jack/Walkie
- Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
- Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Transport raw materials to production workstations
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities

This position operates industrial trucks to load and unload product and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into trucks or storage areas.
Must be able to read and write in English; bilingual a plus
Able to communicate well with others

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and maneuver around pallets. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to climb a ladder and retrieve stock.
