3rd Shift: Mon - Fri, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Responsible for the movement of products within a warehouse environment using turret truck, hi-rise truck, or by hand.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Move sets and supplies within the FP Diesel Warehouse, primarily with turret truck, high-rise truck or by hand.
May change truck batteries.
May work with Coordinator on looking for Lost Loads.
Will pick orders and put away product based on workload considerations.
May assist in cycle counting.
Follows the Quality Management System requirements as outlined in the process notes on the press card, the applicable QMS procedures and work instructions; and suggests ways for continual improvement.
Promptly reports quality problems and shuts down the equipment if unable to resolve.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Follows EHS rules and regulations, participates in safety meetings and CBT, and suggests ways for continual improvement.
Promptly reports personal injuries and unsafe conditions and helps to resolve them.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Operates hand truck.
Licensed for power truck, turret truck, and high rise truck use.
May be trained on battery changing process (Department Process Documents is reference).
Basic math skills proficient to perform arithmetic calculations to check inventories and verify load quantities.
Interpersonal skills necessary to exchange information with a variety of individuals including peers, internal customers, internal suppliers.
Trained in Move System in relation to outbound picking and inbound put away (Training Matrix and Department Process Documents is reference).
Familiar with FP Diesel building layout.
Ability to read and understand press cards, procedures, work instructions, safety rules and warning signs.
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 45 pounds on a daily basis.
Ability to walk and move about, stoop and bend, and on occasion climb (ascend and descend) ladders.
Ability to stand for an eight hour shift or more including overtime.
Ability to reach and grab with arms and hands, and manual dexterity to operate machines with precision.
Normal or corrected vision necessary to read directions and examine parts; and to distinguish colors.
Normal hearing in order to detect equipment and motor malfunctions.
Ability to physically pull, lift and transport product to and from various locations within the assigned location.
Works on turret and/or high rise lift trucks that elevate from 28 to 35 feet.
Exposure to dust.
Works regularly with trucks where carelessness can result in strains, sprains, cuts and chemical burns.
Battery Changing Area exposure to battery fumes and acid.
Works in areas that can be uncomfortable due to noise, odors and temperature extremes.
