Candidate must also have the following: • Experience with developing Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) drawings and/or engineering calculations with the use of Intelligent Ships Installation Drawing (ISID), • Experience with developing Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) drawings and/or engineering calculations with the use of Planning Yard Standard. Ideal candidate should have experience with ship checking military vessels (LHD/LHA/LCS/LPD/CVN/Etc.) in the Hull, Mechanical, and/or Electrical disciplines. The Engineer will be responsible for Engineering operating specialized diagnostic instruments, CAD service developing, hardware or software spec design reviewing shipboard system requirements and system drawings, systems integration planning, and execution, performing ship checks on a variety of ship classes, investigations, designing performance and operating specs, analyzing test data as well as preparing technical reports. The position will require the ability to work in an office, industrial or shipboard environment, capability of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances, lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one-man lift and may include some travel 25% of the time.
