What You’ll Do: Major Accountabilities

·        Perform duties related to the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process

·        Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying and recording accounts payable data  

·        Prepare routine account reconciliations ensuring that balances are clearly understood, and appropriate journal entries are made as required

·        Prepare more routine journal entries along with required analyses


* Prepare desktop guides for performing Accountant duties

·        Master assigned duties and be capable of backfilling other roles on the team: AP, AR, General

·        Collaborate with other teams on reporting or reconciliation issues

·        Assist Accounting Manager on assigned internal and external audit requests

·        Assist Commercial Finance with maintaining proper governance and controls over business activities

·        Perform assigned analytical and special projects

·        Support system modification projects (major upgrades, enhancements, error correction, etc.)

Who You Are: Experience, Training & Education

Experience:

·        College Graduate with an Accounting Degree

·        Strong skills using MS Office products, primarily with Excel

·        Strong working knowledge with SAP/Simple Finance, or similar ERP platform

·        Strong analytical abilities capable of performing technical accounting research and accounting as assigned

·        Ability to prepare accounting desk guides that can be used for cross-training purposes

Training & Education:



·        Bachelor's degree in accounting
