Global SAP HR Director

Tenneco, Inc. has recently acquired Federal Mogul. The strategic combination of Tennecos Ride Performance business with Federal-Moguls Motorparts business will establish a global aftermarket leader with an impressive portfolio of some of the strongest brands in the aftermarket including Monroe, Walker, Wagner, Champion, Fel-Pro and MOOG. The companys broader aftermarket product coverage, stronger distribution channels, and enhanced channel development will strengthen its position in established and high growth markets (China and India), and drive success through new mobility models and capturing evolving e-commerce opportunities.
We are looking for a HRIS Director. This position will be responsible for managing, implementing and maintaining the global human resources information management system (SAP HR) and processes for the organization. The HRIS Director will become a valued member of our Human Resources department where we strive to promote from within wherever possible; therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong.

Oversees the global enterprise SAP HR instance (including SAP Payroll and Time Management in applicable regions) and all integrations for employee master data.
Assist in maintenance, troubleshooting and design of HRIS systems and processes and will lead HRIS process improvement projects and ensure integrity of HR applications.
Manages a global team of regional HRIS Specialists that support regional processes and SAP Organizational Management: US \ Canada, Latin America, EMEA, Asia Pacific
Maintain SAP HR systems strategy for continuous improvement and global governance
Continue to evaluate and work with Employee Services & Systems Executive Director to develop and continuously refine future Employee Services & Systems roadmap
Oversight and management of global system administration of SAP HR
Maintain close partnership with IT at global and regional levels and ensure security of system via authorizations and close partnership with Information Security team
Work with vendors as needed to support new initiatives or change requests
Oversee and ensure maintenance of HR tables (as needed)
Escalation point to provide technical guidance and direction to administrative, technical, and clerical staff on the operation and maintenance of the HRIS systems supporting
Provide support for systems, including troubleshooting, researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws if team of HRIS specialists cannot resolve
Systems implementations; working with IT and HRIS Specialists to implement new facilities and new functionality
Coordinate with other HR teams and functions to ensure all process steps and integrations are in place (i.e. Talent Management, Total Rewards, etc.)
Understand business requirements for changes requested by end users (if existing solution is available, recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements)
Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (i.e. 3rd party vendors, IT, Finance, etc.) and with IT to submit new requests and define requirements
Systems maintenance - collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix with team
Ensure team develops (and maintains) concise and clear user procedures, guidelines and documentation for global processes and ensure straining strategy is in place for SAP HR for new users
Write and maintain a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools as needed to support business requests and needs
Continuously increase both HR knowledge and HRIS application \ tools knowledge; examine trends in information systems training, materials and techniques
EDUCATION:Bachelors Degree in related field
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
At least 8 years of proven combined global HR and HRIS experience with proven knowledge of HR and HRIS processes and systems with supervisory experience
SAP HR - dealing with multiple countries is required
SAP HR (on premises)/SAP Payroll/SAP Time Management experience required
SAP Finance understanding
SAP interface integration experience required (i.e. requirements definition, understanding of downstream impacts, etc.)
SAP SuccessFactors experience preferred
Kaba or Kronos experience required
Understanding of HR general processes, compliance/audit processes (i.e. GDPR, etc.)
Experience with forming a strong working relationship with global teams and other HR functional groups
High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential data
Excellent customer service and communication skills, including ability to interact and effectively communicate within Tenneco and with vendors (both verbal and written)
Project management, organization, critical thinking and problem solving skills
Strong technical skills (i.e. Microsoft Office, SharePoint, SAP HR, HRIS systems)
Ability to think creatively
Must be able to work under tight deadlines when issues arise
Travel required (up to 30 40% globally) entirely project and initiatives based (rollouts/implementations mainly).
