Drives cross channel activities and uses appropriate distribution channel to achieve quota. Retains and grows a base of assigned accounts such as school districts, utilities companies, healthcare providers with added focus on obtaining new logo customers. Secures new logo accounts in accordance with quota requirements in a relationship management capacity to meet customized quotas. Sell services and grows assigned base of customers in accordance with quota requirements. Executes against Solution and Vertical strategy as assigned by the management team. Uses the Account planning process to develop strategies to identify and close opportunities where appropriate. Responsible for individual Billing Accounts ownership and account management. Partners with other Public Sector Sales resources with approval where appropriate to develop account strategy and close business managing state wide and other contracts as applicable.Fully embracing the segment motto, "Serving Those Who Serve", the Government Account Manager is the sales leader at Sprint responsible for: + Develop and execute sales and marketing plans for the segment including State, Local, Education (SLED) and Federal (FED) account entities + Acquire new prospects in the government space by meeting with C-Level contacts and maintaining a network of colleagues and partners to share information and obtain prospects. + Retaining and grow a base of assigned accounts in the Government space such as school districts, state agencies, local municipalities, Not For Profits, utilities companies and Federal Government. + Represent Sprints Government strategy and solutions in regional conferences, associations and speaking events as the Sales Leader for the area. + Consult with Government clients in an assigned territory to add value by presenting Sprint Business Products and Solutions that drives revenue, reduces costs and enables growth, connectivity, and better serves their communities. + Identify sales opportunities, build & manage a sales funnel, forecast, close deals, negotiate customer contracts and travel in person within your assigned territory. + Partner with other channel partners within Government Sales team with approval where appropriate to close business.
