Genesis10 is seeking a Government Relations Specialist II for our client in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a remote contract role that will return to on-site long term.
Job Summary:
The Government Affairs contractor will provide full support to the GA Director as well as ensure all government affairs and ethics & compliance needs are met including lobbying registrations, filling, and disclosures as well as filings with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC). Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: legislative tracking & policy research/issue briefing; drafting one-pagers, client Today articles, presentations; managing the GA website and client website with the third party vendor; and processing all GA files and invoices.

Job Summary:

Job Duties:
- Monitor legislative and regulatory matters that will impact the company.
- Provide written content for internal distribution on updates related to the GA organization as well as policy and political updates.
- Prepare external issue impact documents for distribution to government officials and government agencies.
- Register GA lobbyists with state and federal agencies; maintain records of all lobbying activities; prepare and submit all lobbying disclosures/filings as required.
- Oversee all client filings and disclosures with the FEC to ensure client compliance.
- Manage GA tracker/database of all ongoing or completed issues that GA leads.
- Provide administrative support for internal and external meetings, events, and talking points.
- Manage the GA and client websites, content and work directly with the third-party vendor to ensure all GA Website material is in compliance with client Brand guidelines.
- Support GA organization with draft testimony on legislative priorities when client will provide testimony at hearings.
- Work directly with the GA Director to manage all GA invoices are processed appropriately and timely and keep record of such invoices to vendors, trade associations, consultants, etc
- A Bachelor's Degree in public affairs, government relations/public policy, marketing or related business discipline and some experience working in a corporate environment for public relations, government affairs, external affairs or a similar field.
- A knowledge of the government affairs, the public policy and political process, and an understanding of manufacturing and legislative priorities that impact client. Experience and familiarity with Political Action Committees is preferred.
- The candidate must utilize strong writing skills and have a passion for research on complex policy issues.
