Amgen is seeking a four-month grad co-op student to support Amgens Information Systems Enterprise Platforms. The co-op IS Enterprise Platforms MDM will be based at Amgen Capability Center in Tampa, Florida. The co-op will be a contributor to the success of enhancing Master Data Management capability within IS organization at Amgen. This role will provide exposure to the Amgens Global ERP Platform (SAP) and industry leading data and analytics tools such as Informatica and Tableau
Provide day-to-day support to the Global MDM capability services team
Perform SQL queries and provide hands-on support in Data Quality and Data Migration related activities using tools such as Informatica PowerCenter and/or BackOffice Associates DSP toolset
Develop and manage Ruby-on-Rails workflow application
Act as business systems analyst by working with cross functional business and IT teams supporting MDMs strategic initiatives such as Data Factory services with Informatica, Data Quality report rationalization project, building executive friendly Data Visualization dashboards in Tableau, etc.
May be assigned to support the SAP data management projects such as global MDM implementation, and/or Enterprise Operations Data Strategy initiative
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
18 years or older
Graduated with a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
Completion as a first year graduate student before internship starts and currently enrolled in a Masters program for a Masters internship from an accredited college or university
Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Degree concentration(s) in Management Information Systems or Business Analytics
Proven technical aptitude to leverage software tools (i.e. MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Service Now, SAP, Informatica PowerCenter, Tableau)
Results oriented & self-starter
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Excellent organization and planning skills, including the ability to define a problem, collect data, determine root cause, and work to resolution with a team.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others.
