The purpose of this position is to perform responsible and independent work in support of the City's communications and marketing plan. Under the general direction of the Public Relations & Media Specialist, the Graphic Designer will develop print and digital creative to support and expand the City's brand, outreach, and communications programs. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for designing and producing various materials including but not limited to the City's quarterly magazine, monthly newsletter, ads, brochures, flyers, posters, pamphlets, and banners. Work involves but is not limited to researching, planning, and developing print and digital media, writing and producing media communications, representing the City and SIBTMC at special events; and providing quality assurance in accordance with the City's and the Sunny Isles Beach Tourism and Marketing Council (SIBTMC) branding and best practices.
This is an Essential Emergency Personnel position. This position is classified as non-exempt, full-time with an anticipated forty (40) hour work week.
