The Department of Athletics at Lycoming College is seeking applications for a full-time, 12-month, benefits-eligible Head Baseball Coach. Responsibilities include all aspects of the College’s baseball program, including but not limited to, recruitment, practice organization, contest preparation, scheduling, student-athlete development, budget management, equipment inventory, academic monitoring, supervision of assistant coaches and student-workers, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Lycoming College is seeking a successful candidate to revive a baseball program that has been dormant since 1972. With a working agreement with the Williamsport/Lycoming County Visitors Bureau to use an artificial turf collegiate field expected to be completed in 2022, the Warriors are excited to sponsor varsity baseball action again. The College has deep athletic ties, with more than 33 percent of the student body participating in the school’s 17 varsity programs.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred. Minimum three years coaching experience necessary with a proven track record of recruiting successful college athletes. Successful candidate must be well organized; have excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with prospective student-athletes, student-athletes, and staff and College personnel. Candidate must be attentive to details, have the ability to lead, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidate must display a commitment for adhering to all Lycoming College, NCAA and MAC policies, rules and regulations. Valid driver’s license with good driving record required.
