Seeking full time Hem/Onc:
Provide consultative care to hospital inpatients requiring hematology or oncology consultation.
Provide care to new consults and return patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
Oversee the chemotherapy infusion room and administration of systemic cancer therapy.
Perform bone marrow biopsies on patients where this procedure is appropriate, review peripheral blood smears if indicated
Complete hematology/oncology e-consults (electronic consults).
Works effectively with patients, families, staff, co-workers and other health care professionals.
Possible academic affiliation with West Virginia University
Education Debt Reduction Program may be offered and recruiter incentives.

United States citizenship or Non- citizens
Board certified/ board eligible Psychiatrist
Current, full, and unrestricted medical license from any state, territory or commonwealth or District of Columbia in the United States
Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree from an institution approved by the American Medical Colleges or the American Osteopathic Association
Work Volume: 12-14 patients/day
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M

Federal Retirement Plan:
VA employees are covered by the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS). FERS is a three-tiered retirement plan composed of 1) Social Security benefits; 2) FERS basic benefits (pension); and 3) Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) which is a 401K-type plan
The Federal Government also provides an automatic basic contribution (1% of salary) and up to 4% of salary in matching contributions, depending on the amount of the employee contribution
For retired military personnel, these benefits are in addition to full monthly retirement pay or pension
In addition to FERS, VA provides health care insurance coverage for retired personnel
Employees are vested in a federal pension after only 5 years service.
