Saint Alphonsus Medical Group and Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Center have an excellent full time opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematology/ Oncology physician to be part of a vibrant and growing multispecialty group within a freestanding cancer center located in Caldwell, Idaho.
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led 450+ provider multispecialty group with a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. Anchored with locations in Boise, Nampa and Caldwell, outreach clinics in Emmett, Idaho and Ontario, Oregon, and telemedicine opportunities through the region, this full-spectrum medical oncology and hematology practice is QOPI certified and CoC accredited, offering rewarding opportunities including over 100 clinical trials.
The incoming provider will join a seven-physician group in growing a comprehensive regional cancer care program. Based at the freestanding Caldwell Cancer Center, this role also splits time at one of our satellite clinics on a weekly basis.
This full service cancer center with medical and radiation oncology offers integrative care team support with nurse navigators, social work support, genetics counseling, and nutritionist. Weekly tumor boards provide the opportunity to collaborate with fellowship trained Breast, Plastic/Reconstruction, Gynecologic Oncology, Colorectal, Neurosurgery, Thoracic and Esophageal surgeons. Innovative programs include lung cancer screening, lung nodule clinic, neuro oncology, and robust clinical trials through the Montana Cancer Consortium. Primary care providers in key geographic locations throughout the Treasure Valley, support the specialists.
The schedule for this opportunity is a four-day workweek, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 32 hours of patient contact time. This includes clinic, rounding and consults in Nampa. Call for this opportunity is 1:7 shared equitably on evenings and weekends. A full time medical oncology hospitalist covers workweek, daytime call.
Requirements for this opportunity include Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree, successful completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program and Medical Oncology and Hematology Fellowship with Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Hematology/Oncology through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) - or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment. The selected candidate must be eligible to obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensures granting of privileges at SARMC- Boise, SAMC- Nampa, and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed, a DEA as well as valid controlled substance registrations with the Idaho and Oregon Boards of Pharmacy.
