A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A HOME HEALTH AIDE (HHA) / PERSONAL CARE AIDE (PCA)
As a Home Health Aide (HHA) / Personal Care Aide (PCA), you get to help your senior/elderly and disabled adult clients stay in their own homes and live with independence and dignity. You do more than just provide medication reminders or assist with meals, light housekeeping, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, errands, and appointments. While those tasks are important, you also provide companionship and socialization, as you support them in visiting with friends, attending events, or working on hobbies. You help your clients delay the effects of aging and stay as independent as possible by making sure they are mentally stimulated, physically active, and well-nourished. You encourage independence as much as possible and promote family involvement.
You also ensure that their homes are safe environments, reducing the likelihood of accidents and promoting a timely response to illness. You are meticulous about reporting any changes or concerns promptly. In this way, you provide real peace-of-mind for them and their families. Studies have shown that those who live at home and retain their independence are happier, healthier, and tend to live longer. And, you feel great about facilitating this for your senior/elderly and disabled clients through the part you play in our excellent home care services program!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A HOME HEALTH AIDE (HHA) / PERSONAL CARE AIDE (PCA)
- HHA/PCA certification
- Ability to pass an extensive background check
- Ability to keep up-to-date with health exams and immunizations

FLEXIBLE PART-TIME WORK SCHEDULE
This is a great full-time or part-time job with various schedules available according to the needs of each individual clients. We can work around your schedule with morning, evening, and overnight shifts available up to 40 hours a week.
