This community health system is actively interviewing for a Director to oversee Plant and Facilities Management at a busy Hospital and Clinical Network in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Plant Management Director will play an important and central role across a wide range of operations. Working collaboratively with the Executive Operations Officer and CFO, the Director will develop policies and procedures that will touch nearly every aspect of this organization. Supporting you in this role is a strong CHFM Facility Manager and a tenured team of ASHE Certified Plant Engineers, Maintenance Specialists, Groundskeepers, and Safety Personnel.
The Director of Facilities Management will serve in a role with direct impacts on Health System Strategy, maintaining both Administrative and Operational work processes. On one hand, this person will oversee facility compliance with regards to OSHA, EPA, The State of California, and The Joint Commission, implementing policy and procedure to ensure continued adherence to these governing bodies.
On the other hand, you’ll directly manage the day-to-day Plant and Facilities operations personnel. The Director will apply strong leadership and project management skills to actively oversee ongoing construction, health care facility efficiency upgrades, and ongoing maintenance at the main hospital and throughout the clinic network.

As construction finalizes, the Director of Facilities Plant will help develop the policy and procedure to ensure efficient operations.
