New Directions for women, a non-profit organization, has been providing a gender separate, long term continuum of care for women of all ages, pregnant women in any trimester, and women with children where women and their families can begin the journey of recovery. Over the last forty years, we have grown into a beautiful and tranquil setting with thirty beds for women and twelve for children. As we continue to grow, we can provide many opportunities for our professional care partners.
New Directions for Women is seeking an individual for the position of Human Resource - Intern. The ideal candidate is highly organized, ethical, with strong communication skills and strong professional boundaries. Primary duties include assisting the HR Coordinator and Manager with on-boarding, terminations, file audits, data entry and other associated tasks. This position is perfect for a student pursuing a degree in Human Resource Management or someone looking to gain experience and knowledge within HR.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Knowledge of the disease of addiction preferred
- Bachelor or Certificate in Human Resource Management in progress preferred
- Desire and willingness to learn the foundation of HR policy and procedures
- Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Available to intern 5-10 hours per week
