Job Title: Human Resources Administrative Assistant - Part time
Grand Prairie Services is a community based behavioral healthcare provider with over 66 years of experience providing mental health services for the children, adolescents, adults and seniors living in Bloom, Bremen, Rich and Thornton townships.
The right candidate will Provides quality clerical and administrative services to the Vice President of Human Resources and Administrative Services to ensure operations and communications, both internal and external, function at an optimum level by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist with the new hire orientation process.
Compiles new hire files.
Types labels, creates binders and other requested files.
Ensure that all confidential information is maintained in a locked storage cabinet or desk.
Assist with manual and computerized tracking and reporting of employee information including recruitment and training information.
Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons as directed.
Copies and distributes documents as assigned.
Attend college, university and community job fairs.
Responsible for the daily maintenance of the ABRA HRIS Applicant system.
Complete initial phone screens on applicants for entry level, Associate level, Bachelor level and registry positions. Set interviews with managers for applicants, as needed.
Assist with the pre-employment screenings for all new hires.
Posts job openings to various colleges, universities and placement agencies via fax, internet and email.
Responsible for typing letters, memos and other written correspondence, as needed.
May perform other job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy manuals, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients or employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Human Resources Administrative Assistant
