The HR Generalist will provide professional and administrative support for HR functions including: benefits, compensation, employment relations, workers compensation, safety, records management, policy and procedure, communications, training, employment law and organizational development.
Acts as and HR Business partner for the assigned business segment, performing the HR functions related to: workforce planning, staffing (hires and terms), onboarding, employee engagement and development, HR policy understanding and compliance; succession planning; employee relations
Occasionally coordinates with HR leads and managers the on-boarding process for new hires for the San Diego Office.
Serve as the back -up for the Benefits Analyst as a point of contact for HR Leads to coordinate and maintain compensation.
Maintain all personnel records for the HQD employees.
Responsible for coordination and generation of monthly head count reports for Corporate.
Maintains quarterly turnover and recruiting metrics.
Provides managers and employees answers to questions related to company policies and procedures and basic benefits related inquiries.
Assists in generation of compliance reporting of the statistical reports for EEO, AAP, and Vets
100 annual filings.
As required, will partner with HR leads to coordinate the submission of proper documents being requested during periodic SOX audits.
Responds to employment inquiries from Federal Background Investigators as needed for security clearance checks.
Works with Benefits in preparation of employee leaves including Family and Medical Leave information and forms as needed
Ensures HR recordkeeping compliant and current
Assists in the facilitation of annual merit and performance review process for the assigned business segment
Interfaces with Payroll to troubleshoot and resolve employee payroll issues and ensures proper employee data is entered in HRIS records
Assists managers with performance management, including preparation of employee reprimands and performance improvement plans
Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect efficiency of the department and services performed
Participates in personal professional ongoing development to maintain knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their duties
Assist HR Leads in generating spreadsheet calibration of proposed annual rate increases and completing annual data entry of pay increases.
Works closely with the Director of HR on HR projects as required
